Hounslow, west London · Celebration and wedding cakes

We cannot promise
a nut-free kitchen.

One kitchen handling nuts, dairy, egg, gluten and sesame cannot honestly call anything free-from. If someone at your table has anaphylaxis, we will tell you not to order rather than take the risk.

How we work

A Hounslow bakery, honest about allergens

Rabakes Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 13834508, incorporated in January 2022, trading from Hounslow, west London. The business is registered as a food business with its local authority under [FOOD BUSINESS REGISTRATION DETAILS] and our food hygiene rating is available on request and on the Food Standards Agency website.

The thing we will not soften: this kitchen handles nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, gluten, soya and sesame, in a shared space. That means cross-contact cannot be ruled out and nothing we make can be supplied as free from any allergen. If someone at your event has a severe allergy or anaphylaxis risk, we will tell you not to order from us. A full ingredient list with the 14 regulated allergens emphasised comes with every order, and anything inedible on a cake — dowels, wires, floral picks — is pointed out on delivery.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Can you make a nut-free cake?

No, and nor can any single kitchen that handles nuts. We can avoid nuts as an ingredient, but cross-contact cannot be excluded. If the allergy is severe we will tell you honestly not to order from us.

Why does a small cake cost that much?

Because the price reflects hours rather than ingredients. Elaborate sugar work and sharp edges take a long time, and a simpler design at the same size costs considerably less — we will show you both.

Do I get a tasting for a wedding cake?

Yes, before you decide anything. Choosing a flavour from a photograph is how couples end up with a cake they do not enjoy on the day.

Is the deposit refundable?

No, on the schedule in your written quotation. We buy in and block out production time for your date, which is why the terms are written down before you pay rather than mentioned later.

Will it survive an outdoor summer wedding?

Some designs will and some will not. Buttercream in a hot marquee is a known problem and we will tell you before you choose it rather than after it slides.

Is everything on the cake edible?

Not always. Dowels, supports, wires and floral picks are structural and must be removed before serving. We point them out on delivery, and it matters most where children are eating.

Got a date in mind?

Tell us the occasion and numbers. Seasonal weeks book out early.
